I need some answers about media blasting/stripping and paint prep.

When a car is blasted, are the doors and fenders removed and done separately. Also, when the fenders are blasted are the inside of the fenders blasted then primed/painted or sealed with a waterproofing material.

I wish I could say I'm close to blasting my car, but I'm still waiting to gather up the money for restoration. I'm just kind of daydreaming about what I will need to do to the Satellite when I hit the lottery. Why did we pick such an expensive habit?:icon_santa:

You can blast the car with body parts attached but not recommended. You get the best job when all parts are loose. Plus the media goes every where and will get trapped in areas you cant see or get out and will sift out for the next hundred years. So pull the parts off. Your choice to blast inside and out or not. If the parts are under coated you will have to scrap it off by hand. once blasted you need to prime asap. the metal will flash rust over night.
Lastly , be very careful, make sure who does the blasting knows what they are doing. I have seen many of good parts ruined.
