No back up lights after replacing the bulbs. How can I test the reverse light switch on a manual transmission? If I remove it will gear oil come pour out?

You can test it in place with an Ohm meter.
Shift trans in to reverse and test the switch for continuity.
If you need to replace it oil will drain out.

Thanks, looks like I need a switch.

They are not hard to find. Mine was leaking and I think I got a replacement from O'Reilly. Swap it fast and you won't loose too much oil.

Installed the new switch into the transmission and got the backup lights working. And the dashboard reverse light works, it needed to be fixed as it was silicone to the dash. I was able to unscrew it from the back, got the front lens to snap on the metal bracket and remounted it.
