i recently rewired 70 Roadrunner. I can't get The drivers side reverse light to work. It's not the wire because I can switch the wires and the passenger light will work, I can put the passenger side light on drivers side and it will work. Got to be the housing right. I have put a new button inside the light housing, installed a new wire in the light housing, new end on the wire and sanded the inside of the bulb housing for good ground. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

Have you tried pushing the wires back into the socket to see which wire is not making contact. Some times the disk holding the wires wares out and will not hold the wires out far enough for contact with the bulb.

Did you check to see if the socket housing is well grounded with a meter or test light?

They are noted for loosing ground between the socket and the housing. Try to clean that area and then tighten the socket to the housing it should fix you up. If you can't get it to work i have good used originals that test working, message me
