review aerospace components brakes

hey guys
been trying to get my frends 1970 dodge a body back on the race track after 10 years .
well back in the day they ran aerospace components brakes front and rear .
he said he never had a good pedal and had to pump brakes to stop tried everything to cure this problem . has a mopar performance master cylinder to brake lines , he said that thats how they run them at the track . the car never made a full pass because of chassis issues it would launch straight up and make a left turn so they gave up / the car sat .

he refreshed the engine put tires on the car/installed a new k member because the old one was a little too light (hint hint) .
so now we are at the aerospace components brakes they are new /any sugestions on getting them to bleed and have a good pedal ? i thought the master was no good so today im going to bench bleed it /bleed the whole system if that doesnt work , install a new master if that doesnt work then what ?

Check with the manufacturer for a MS replacement. Could be the MS doesn't move enough volume to properly engage the brakes. Had this problem on my Sport Fury.

aerospace is pretty top notch, use them on my race car, way better than wilwood

They are on the black back half '66 Charger we have. The pedal seems pretty good although it has a bit more travel than a normal setup. The reason for this is the calipers retract to reduce brake drag. This is most likely why you have lots of pedal. Perhaps installing a residual valve in the rear brake port of the master cylinder would help? I know they changed the pedal ratio in our car so perhaps that helps as well. That said I plan on swapping to 11.75" rotors, AR Engineering adapter brackets and Wilwood dynalite calipers once we get going again.

sounds about right on the pedal and the pistons falling back .... hmmm
the car did good at fontanna sunday little more tuning

i really do believe that its because the pistons retract ,so we have to figure that out

Are you using a proportioning valve??
