I made a visit to my local ABC store tonight, and saw something I was not expecting..
Richard Petty Whiskey. I guess I always assumed the King was not a drinker. Anyway, this was on the shelf. I thought the $43.99 price was a nice touch.... LOL

The King was not a drinker? How did you arrive at that conclusion? 1960’s? Mopars? Racing? Winning? Muscle cars? Success?

Good God man, that’s THE recipe for drinking!

Cheers to the King! Long may he reign!

Does it come in a smaller bottle...426ml?

Very cool....and the price is greatness...

Did you try it?

R Petty didn't run in the Bud shoot outs because of it being named that......and he's not a drinker and he didn't like it too much with it was called the Winston Cup either.

I remember reading somewhere his wife or mother would not allow them to advertise any beer or alcohol on Petty cars.

Thats why I wondered about the whiskey... And no, I didn't try it. I buy the cheap bottom shelf stuff... LOL

From the looks of the website, it looks like a distillery paid the King for the use of his name. It's based in Nashville Tn. and Petty is from Randleman NC.

I'd rather have the David Pearson whiskey @21.99 a bottle

Richard Perry's grandmother asked him not to participate in the Budweiser shoot out. He complied. Not sure that he imbibe in alcohol.

I find it kind of humorous being that NASCAR's roots derrive directly from running illegal moonshine

The King must be getting low on $$cash$$ flow. Money has a way of changing some beliefs.Funny how that green stuff empowers thoughts. Hell if someone gave me enough cash I just might be a Notre Dame fan!!!! NOT

It was his mom....and I've read where he isn't totally against alcohol.....just thought he was. Oh well.
