If any of you want to widen your rims you can do it yourself if you can weld, I did mine from 10 inch Magnum 500 rims from Vintique to 13 inch, I had had a local machine shop split my rims for 200 bucks then I bought the 3 inch flat bar x3/16 and had it rolled, cost 40 bucks ,then welded it together

I like the idea. How did you keep it straight?

Besides all the other concerns, the quality of welding effectively is similar to welding on a steel 35PSI? 60? gal compressor tank that you are spinning at the rotational speed of say 80? mph while it supports 750? lbs and yourself on public roads.
That should require a tad more skill than the ability "to weld".
Other than that, I like solution. :thumbsup:
