I currently own three, scratch that, four turntables.

A newer NuMark with USB out.

A 1983 Sony linear tracking I rescued from a thrift store for $5.

A circa 1979 Sanyo, that's the best table I've ever operated.

...and my showpiece, a circa 1974 Empire 698 complete with solid teak and real glass lid, and the coolest cuing operation I've ever seen. Has been a work in progress since 1993.

I know Pickering styli were "the bomb", but I was more of an Audio Technica guy, and preferred the slimmest true elliptical model I could afford.

Tirefryer, you're in the right forum but in the wrong thread for posting up a different topic. Spend a few minutes looking at the layout and you'll see it's not that hard to navigate it.

RIP Mr Pickering. Any audiophile is very familiar with his name. I still enjoy playing vinyl often so today I will dedicate a few songs to Norm.
