I want to remove the aluminum rocker panel moldings so I can polish them up. What is the correct procedure to remove without breaking all the clips. I don't see any clips at either end with a nut from the backside. Should I try to pry from the bottom or top first?

Hi Dan, i carefully pryed my rocker moldings off but most of the plastic clips were brittle and broke off. i used a plastic trim tool and was real patient and still most of the clips broke...

If you have screws at the bottom of the rocker, Like a 66-7 Charger, take them out. Then pull the bottom out carefully and push the moulding upward, until it clears the clips.

There are no screws like a dodge.

Check the front 2 mounting devices, could either be studs and nuts, so remove the nuts. Or metal clips like a door panel, pop them out by prying. Both of these will stay on the rocker trim.

The rest are plastic that stay on the body. pry from the bottom start at the front and go to rear.

these Rocker trims are anodized aluminum on 67 GTX.
