Rocker Shaft holddown TQ specs

I need to know what is the TQ specs for the rocker shaft hold downs? These will be put on a set of aluminum heads. I am guessing that they should be put on in 3 steps and in an alternate fashion. Middle,outside 2, then the other 2.

Any Tips ?????

FSM says 15# small block, 25# big block. I usually just try to run them down evenly. It doesn't make much difference where you start as some of the rockers will be pushing on the valves as you tighten. Which ones depends on where you left the crank in the cycle.

When I do big block heads I put the pushrods in place and run an oil dipstick between the pushrods and the rocker stands. That holds them in place better while you torque down the rocker shaft.
