Sadly will not be down today. I have been a fan of This Old House for many years but haven't been able to tune in on Saturdays due to the time differences so it has been a while. The guys always had some insightful tips and offerings for the DIY homeowner. Sadly after a long illness, he will be sorely missed...RIP Roger...:praying::praying::praying::usflag::usflag::usflag:cr8crshr/Bill

Damn...when he left the show several years ago, they never said what illness, but you knew. Seemed like a great guy. RIP Roger

RIP. I've learned a lot and still watch those shows. Very empowering, kinda like this place. Norm Abrams on New Yankee WorkShop is another one of my heroes.

Didn’t think Heaven needed landscaping, I would have thought it’s beautiful enough, but I’m not in charge. Rip Roger, thanks for sharing a fraction of your knowledge

You don't really think about it till you put a number on it, almost 40 years makes me feel old. R.I.P.

I knew his time was short. I'll miss him, I learned to speak "New England" through him and Tommy.

I've enjoyed watching Ask This Old House over the years, but it hasn't been as good the last few. I guess I liked the chemistry the original guys had going. I learned more than a few things watching. I also knew he was in decline, but no one ever said what exactly his condition was. R.I.P. Roger.
