Roof Rail Weather Strip Seal

I installed my roof rail seal and it went ok. However I would like to see a picture of the front piece and how it’s glued in and trimmed, if trimmed. I noticed this is a large interference fit causing door alignment issues as it not trimmed of in place with glue yet.

Have you got the moulded corner, at the top of the A pillar, nicely on place. That bottom end looks a bit low but not too bad.

About 3 inches gets glued and the squashed by the door.

Yes corner is tight and right. Great thank you Wayne! The picture is very helpful Ill trim off some excess and glue it in.

Don't trim anything !!!

You get most of it in and when you do the front you start at the bottom and work up to the corner. The foam will compress and fit perfect. As you've done it its actually stretched. You can tell where to start because the shape of it changes where it fits into the trim.

You start putting it in the trim where the arrow is pointing. From bottom to top.

FWIW, my 50+ year old seals were still in great shape and I reused those.

Now you can help me ... How do I get the top of the frame and the window to tilt in? Once in place I can
easily slip a sheet of paper between the glass and the seal all the way across the top. I thought maybe the trim screw holes were slotted and I could move the trim out but not so. Window and pillar need to tip in.

2 nuts on the vent brace at the front shell face of the door, loosen and slide outward. Same deal with the channel holder peg in the bottom of the door and probably the rear glass guide channel. It has a slotted adjuster hole in the rear shell face.
