Traveling back to AZ from a few shows in the midwest this summer

We decided to stop in Tucumcari NM and unload the car for some photo op moments.

There were a few Edsels in a garage parking lot . Didnt go over and ask about them though

What are the odds , But met a couple from Bowling Green KY driving the entire route in a 1957 Chevy hardtop.( I was born / raised in Northern Ky ) Going from Chicago to Santa Barbara and back to Ky . They figure 4 to 6 weeks to make the drive.
Said they are averaging about 250-300 miles max per day. Dozens of stops along the way to see the sights. Stock 327 with an OD auto. with aftermkt ac added . Super nice couple ( guy in the photo is my co driver )

When Mary and I went on our Rt 66 trip in 2007, we passed through Tucumcari as well. I wasn't sure if it was there or Shamrock Texas where we saw a field with something like 29 Edsels. I've wondered over the years if at some point when someone else might comment on that collection.

We were in Tucumcari just a few days ago.
We saw a few Edsels in a shop lot at night.

Also saw that Blue Swallow Motel. Lights are beautiful at night.
