Runner -up this weekend

It's been tough going this year. I've gone rounds which I'm happy about, but no wins.
Made it to the finals this weekend but decided to take a nap.
My tires are shot and I've been chattering when launching. Over 200 passes now on my slicks.
My 60 ft times have slipped to 1.45 - 1.48.
This Sunday they had nostalgia funny cars so the prep was great.
My 60 ft. Times dropped to 1.36
The guy I raced dialed 10.39 and ran 10.400 with an .002 r/ t.
Tough to beat.
Any way, new slicks are on the way and so is the cool air.
Looking forward to better times.

Sunday was my birthday. I got to the track and almost turned around to go home because I knew my tires were bad and didn't think it was going to be worth it.
My wife had to work, so I decided F^$% It.
After the first round win, I thought maybe it was meant to be.
Guess not.

Tubes went in last year to prevent leak down.
Maybe they prolonged their lifespan.
