Sally Ride won't be down for breakfast

Wow! My uncle died from pancreatic cancer. I remember when she first flew. We watched it in grade school. It was back when space was still cool and taught in grade school.

I recall her being interviewed by some reporter who asked if she planned on having children. She handled that fool just right with an answer something like, "that's between my husband and I." I thought then as now, good for you Sally...ride Sally Ride.

I just read the article, she was younger than I am. Merde.

Survived by her partner Tam and her Mother...I thought both parents had to be deceased before we got a won't be down thread.

I asked my Doctor about all the fairly young and healthy checking out due to pancreatic cancer and what can be done to minimize risk. She said when the wheel stops on your number it's curtains. RIP.

Sad, This is a terrible way to go, My dad died at 57 with this, his dad at 57 and pancreatic cancer is hereditary i now hear, im 56 and have been in the hospital twice for a stay with pancreatic problems, im 56 so i guess i tend to think about it more then i like to. RIP Sally.
