Looking for some good salvageyards to find parts for my Mopar but also som good place for chevy parts for my friends.
Where going to florida in march and we will be trying to find som stuff for are cars,
56 chevys, 33 tudor, el camino, coronet etc.

Any goog ideas?

Are Florida salvage yards required to have a "Beware of Alligators" sign ?

Not sure Florida is the best place to look, anything with value is either completely stripped and resold or rusted into the Earth, literally.

American Salvage in De Bary- about 30 min North of Orlando.

J and J in Starke (pricey and appointment only but 100% Mopar).

There are no salvage yards here. Leave you tools at home and spend lots of money. Billet proof is March 25th at Big Daddies. Three Killer surf and rockabilly bands.

I would be more worried about venomous snakes hiding in and under the cars
I went to pull a drive shaft out of a yard car down here, and there is a huge copperhead underneath it. I tried throwing rocks at it, poking it with a stick, but it wouldn't move. I figured it was a female bird dogging her nest, and she wasn't going to move from it, so I told her if she didn't move towards her, I would show her the same consideration. :)

I slid under the car, and got the shaft out, and she just watched me, so we all won out. :)

Florida is a big state, so it would help to know where you are going. J and J Auto Parts in Starke, FL is the best Mopar yard I know, but if you go you better plan on spending a day chatting up the owner. The longer you BS with the guy, the lower the prices go. You need to call ahead to see when he'll be there as he doesn't keep regular hours.

There's also a yard called Robinson's Auto Parts in Palatka, FL that's supposed to have quite a few old Mopars.

There is a swap meet the 1st Sunday of the month at the sumpter county fairgrounds just north of Webster. 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Almost fills the entire fairgrounds. It's a little light on Mopar stuff but there is a huge amount of chevy and ford stuff.

We´ll be in the Miami area and only for a couple of days.
I wouldn't stay in the Miami area for more than a couple days either. If you're in Fl around the 24th-26th, there's the turkey spring run show and swap in Daytona.

Beware in miami it can be dangerous do not leave anything in your car that's not nailed down I just moved away from there after 40 years ... should have bailed out years before .. if on south beach try club deuce bar 222 14th st great local bar
