Interesting. Learn something new every day. "As the Beemer nickname was gaining further traction, the Bimmer title appeared in the US for the first time catalyzed by a boom in popularity for BMW automobiles among North American clients. “Bimmer” originates in the early 1970s, when the Boston Chapter BMW Club used it in its official newsletter for the first time."The correct term for a BMW automobile is “bimmer” – “beemer” and “beamer” actually only refer to a BMW motorcycle.
If I had a dollar for every dead deer I pass on the Interstates, I could retire. They are definitely a menace in populated areas.Don't need to be reminded of all those freakin deer running out of the woods like that. I was going in to work at 10 pm, 2 weeks ago for the midnight shift heading up a hill at about 50mph. I just put my high beams down for a car coming the other way and just out of my illuminated range was 5 deer standing in my lane. I locked the brakes up and missed them by a foot or so as they ran to the right, but seconds later a straggler on the left side of the road decided to catch up with the herd and bounced off the side of my van! I have taken out 4 of those damn things in the last 50 years of driving and that does not include the many close calls. I think hunting season should be 365 a year and the carcasses should be brought to soup kicthens to feed the poor.
That buck looked like a bucking bronco
