Anyone have any luck in removing or lessening scratches in windshield glass?
My Coronet front windshield is perfect except for some windshield wiper scratches. I really want to reuse it if I can. Any body use anything that a dYI er can do?
cheers
Steve

Have the same thing on my Roadrunner but is on the pass side so its not quite so irritating.

Sorry if that came off as smart-***, wasnt meant as so. He's right, Any good glass co. can do it. I try to D.I.Y whenever possible

I have used "Blue Magic" on a Drimmel buffer.:buffer: works good but leaves a slight low spot. Blue magic works great by hand too on anything from chrome, plexiglass, aluminum, stainless steel. Won't scratch:grin:

Eastwood has a kit for this, but don't expect them to disappear. If you can feel it with your fingernail, chances are slim. Hope it works for you.

If they have jagged edges then they probably won't come out. If they are non jagged then the chances are better. My boss bought an $1500 kit to get scratches out of glass and they still don't come out completely. The bad thing about trying to get them out is how much time it takes...

I asked my glass guy if he could poilish the the windshield for me. He said he doesn't like to recommend that because it is very easy to make the glass appear wavy from the surface becoming even the slightest bit uneven.

That's with a buffing wheel of course. I am going to try by hand to hopefully get it as clean as possible and at least reduce the light scratches.
