I knew the back glass in my 67 Belvedere leaked into the trunk when I got it. I avoid the rain but knew It needed to be done. Took the car to work today -beautiful morning no chane of rain until the evening.-

Well it pissed rain and now I also know my front windshield leaks too!

I can't find a body shop or glass place that wants to pull them and reseal them. The one shop that is willing to do it told me he may chip the paint. The other shop wants to insert a pump gun of liqued buytl under the lip of the rubber and seal it that way. He said there will be no visible mess and no damage and it should seal fine after that.

The glass was out of the car when it was painted by the previous owner and the seals are new the front glass is a pilkington the rear is original.

Does this sound like a legit repair?

Wish the guy who did my Duster was still around. 1 hour he had it out put his butyl down and the windshield back in. Never had a leak.

I've heard of guys using sealer(buytl or what ever)with the rubber windshield seals. A little between the glass &rubber, and rubber & frame. In the groove of the rubber gasket. Think I seen it on TV as well.

Yep, I have put the sealer under the rubber on the front windshield and have seen glass guys do it too.

It may be your wiper arm shafts leaking not your windshield check that first would be my call

Wiper arm pivot seals have been replaced. Plus the rear glass leaks the worst of the two.

FYI water has been know to get past the wiper pivot shaft and the housing. gaskets will not fix this. an old article in a mopar mag( I don't remember what one,was a while ago). just a thought. are all the molding clips in? front and rear

They look to be, the trim is on nice a tight.

It has the Schumacher pivots seals that use the seal, the butyl strip and then has a grease nipple to pump the houseing full.

It's leaking directly at the corners. The rear window however is by far the worst. I think the body shop didn't use much if any butyl when they installed them.
