Can someone please post a picture how the shoulder belts in a 69 Roadrunner are held up when not in use. Once I clip them into the visor area how does the slack of the belt stay up. I have the elastic portion with the button, but I can't see how this works unless I am missing something.

I think midpenmopar(Stu) is a member here. I asked him to shoot a pic of his car.

I use a large paper clip to hold up what tightening the belt will not hold up.

We carry the correct clips if you need them

Hi dart4forte,

Send me a pm with your contact info.

69beep- the elastic wears out, I do what "ranger" does.

Yep unless you get new belts that elastic is gonna be stretched. Even my new ones the elastic is stretched a little bit but hold the shoulder belts tight enough that you can't see the belts. Before I replaced the belts I used a couple guitar capos that snapped on.

40 yr.old elastic; what do you expect,LOL. Bra's don't last near that long!

Gooood one. First-hand knowledge is hell isn't it?

Begs the question- if there is less support needed, do bra's last longer?

Not yet, my wife's only 29. I still got a few years left

+++++++++++++++++1. Nothing further needs to be said lol.

Send me your email or call me. I have a pic for you

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Looks like the elastics are double the length from being stretched over the years.

Do the elastic correctly or paint the paperclip black and call it good.

I sent my belts to a guy out west (USA) - he posts on Moparts. He replaced just the elastics and snaps for something like $20. and I had them back in a week!

I have the elastic and the snaps. I can ship them to you and you can have your upholstery sew them on. Problem solved.
