We need to install seat belts for the front driver and passenger in our 69 road runner. It has a bench seat. When the car was redone they never put the seat belts in the front. There are belts in the back.
was there only lap belts in the front or did they have shoulder belts too?
Have looked at year one and the description makes it sound like you install the retainer brackets onto the seat? I thought they would be bolted to the floor.

the retainer belt should be bolted to the floor, they slip between the seat and the backrest i believe.

i took a look at my 69 rr and it has boyh the lap and shoulder belt.mine is a bench seat car and has the bolt hole into the hump right behind where the seat would sit. so i am assuming the shouder and lap belt would share the same retainer belt.

where does the shoulder belt bolt into? my dad had a 69 that we sold to buy the new one already done. but we cannot remember if it had shoulder belts he doesn't think it did, it was a canadian car.

mine are located straight up from the door/door jam.if yours is a canadian car it might not have a spot for it,don't know what the laws were back then for seat belts.I think here in the states it was manitory in 66 and newer for the shoulder belt.
