Okay I give up, what am I doing wrong, I took this apart 5 years ago and for the life of me I cant figure how this hooks back up, there should be tension on the wire but how does it hook up?? The band just falls off the hook

Looking at another picture it seems that The previous owner (ahem) put the wrong latch on one side-let me go out to the shop and check again...

you should have a spring on one of the seat rails I believe.

A 66-67 charger parts guy told me there are 2 different lengths on L/R buckets, I had a slightly shorter one but it was basically the same thing-it wasn't short(?) enough and the band just fell the hook...does anyone have a picture of how its supposed to be or a shadetree solution?? I don't care what it is its not goin to be seen, thanks
