I have my seat tracks completely apart for blasting/repaint. What is everyone using for grease on reassembly? The rollers, balls, and slides.

Thanks!!

Me too.

A70Runner, when you say completely apart, did you take the large rivets out to separate the slide and drop the rollers and balls out? Can I ask what you used to reassemble? My 70 Charger tracks are rusted and I'd love to take them apart completely, but not sure what to use to reassemble. When I was cleaning them up, a short fat cylinder, ball and ball "carrier" fell out of one, so I either need to completely disassemble or replace. Any insight (or pics) would be amazing!

Thanks
Ross

There is a way to bend the end of the seat track that allows it to come apart. No need to do anything with the rivets. There is a great YouTube video on how to do it.

Thanks - part 2 is what I needed. They're apart and missing 2 of the roller balls and bent up "carriers". I'm planning on buying 25 of 5/16 ball bearings and straightening the carriers but does anyone make those carriers?
