Sending unit wire

So I thought I disconnected the wire on the sending unit before I dropped the tank but when i pulled the tank there it was still attached to the sending unit... So my question is where does this wire run to? The piece on the sending unit is only about 6 inch long and I can't find the other end of the wire under the trunk area.

I think you are referring to the "Ground Strap" which goes between the sending unit tube to the fuel line. If not, the wire itself runs thru a grommet into the trunk floor.

Yep as stated above thru the trunk floor it's a dark blue wire.

yes the blue wire. I found it should have tried tracing it alittle better... Thanks guys!
