No coolant in a normal b/rb or hemi intake. You will need to put it in the water pump housing or buy a custom thermostat housing with ports.

There a couple spacers that fit under the thermostat housing that have ports. Got mine at jegs

I believe you can buy/fabricate a inline unit to place in the top radiator hose.
