Like SGT pointed out in his link..... the skinny on sheetmetal is, and I'm sure a lot of the other restorations guys will agree with me here...Buy AMD parts if you're going for new sheetmetal. There will be some work needed to have them fit 100%, but very minimal compared to other MFG's out there.
Jeff with 521 Restorations is a great place to buy it. FBBO member himself and you will get a FBBO member discount.

As far as buying the cheaper stuff. Well there is some metal here and there from Sherman/Goodmark that fit good, but there is also metal from them that you'll wonder what it's actually for becase it sure in the heck don't fit. So, 1st off, you get what you pay for. Second, when you spend hours trying to make poorly stamped wheelhouses or something like that fit (like another member just did) and end up tossing the hands in the air and buy AMD, you'll see where "you get what you pay for" comes into play. Several of us on here have done some serious metal swapping using AMD (including SGT) and the resto threads are good place to check out the ins/outs of it. I sure wouldn't recommend it if I didn't have experience with both lines of metal.

Good luck!

I first bought a patch panel, made by Sherman's, for my project. This was the piece which goes in front of the rear tire. It was galvaneal coated and didn't follow the contour of the fender very well. I later decided to do quarter skins from AMD. A few very minor issues, but overall very happy with them.
I also ordered from Jeff at 521 and he was great to deal with and has good prices too!

You already got the advice on sheetmetal. So I will help you with the other two...finding your other post and posting photos.

To find your other post 'click' on your forum name "70chargerkrazy" in the upper left corner of your post above. It will give you a drop down menu. The 3rd thing on the list should be 'Find more posts by 70chargerkrazy'. 'Clicking' on that will take you to a list of all posts you have put on this site. Select the one you want to see...much easier to look for updates that you are wanting to know about.

Now for posting photos:

Note: If it's not already...Set your camera to take photos that take up less space. Photos saved as smaller files tend to be easier.

1. Save pictures to a file on your computer or simply have your camera attached (must be turned on) to your computer acting as an external storage (drive).
2. Select Reply (don't use the quick reply button) for your post
3. Above the text box select the 'paper clip' icon right of the 'smiley face' in the tool bar
4. In the pop-up window Select 'Browse'. This will enable you to find the photo(s) you wish to share
5. Select (highlight) the photo, then hit the 'open' button at the bottom right of the window
6. If you have more than one photo, repeat steps 4 & 5.
7. Once you have loaded what you wish to share hit the upload button right of the Browse buttons. "WAIT FOR THEM TO FULLY LOAD", or you will be like me the 1st couple times and wonder why nothing is there. In the middle of that window you will see in Blue, a rectangle that says, "Current Attachments" and it should list the photo(s) selected. If it is correct, you can close this window.
8. Type in any text you wish, to explain the photos, then hit the 'Preview Post' button at the bottom of this box. It will display how your post will be viewed (hopefully with the photo).
9. You can then scroll down to edit your text or scroll further down and hit the 'Submit reply' button for all of FBBO to see!

Your training is complete...Now post some damn photos! :headbang:
