I converted the original 4 speed shifter in my 69' GTX to a new Hurst Pistol Grip (console). It slips out of 1st and 3rd back to neutral while driving. I even purchased and installed a new shifter mechanism and linkage arms from Brewers, for a 1970 B Body that's made for the conversions. Still pops out of 1st and 3rd. Any way to resolve would be appreciated.
