Any users of precision performance products shifters? I'm interested in getting one. Also I was curious what's everybody's opinions on front or rear cable exit? And how long of a cable to use on the 67 belvedere.

I've never used the PPP shifter, I use the Turbo Action Shifter. It has front exit from the shifter and comes in from the back to the trans. Have been using the same one since 1988. As a matter of fact I just removed it from my Cuda(last summer) and put it in my 67 Belvedere. I used the cable that came w/the kit when I purchased it. I've never burnt a cable on the exhaust with this set up.

I bought a PPP for my latest car, mainly for the rear entry cable configuration. I tried lots of different routing and heat shields on the old front entry shifters. Some worked better that others. Now I don't worry about it. I knew the PPP was a quality shifter but it turned out to be much better than I anticipated. Besides keeping the cable away from the heat, I don't have to work around the cable to deal with the starter. My cable is longer than some use but I wanted to have a more sweeping motion without tight bends. It has a nice smooth positive action. I like it a lot.
