Thinking that my 4-speed was getting a little sloppy I ordered the shift pack from Hurst that had new bushings and clips. Imagine my surprise when I found out the bushings wouldn't fit because they were too small. All the rod ends were that way. Did the factory not use bushings originally? If you buy a shift rod kit from Hurst it comes with bushings. Those clips are a bear to put on.

The factory shifter did not use bushings, the bushings you got are for the current Hurst shifter mechanism.

Got one with and one without 63 to 72 don't believe eather to be current. The 63 actually uses the bushings. Factory doubt it Hurst super shifter on a Warner T10.
