I'm switching my '65 Belvedere to floor shift, I already have it detached on the tranny side, but how do I get the actual linkages out of the steering column?...

There is a rubber around the column,if you roll it back you can see the cables were they are attached, there is a clip ,so remove the clip and slide the cable off, save the cables they are getting hard to come by,hope this helps,it is kinda easy.

Are you talking about a cable shift automatic or a column shifted three speed manual trans?

I can't seem to see anything... There isn't even any rubber around my column... Ugh

The rubber part should be were the cables hook up to the column.between the frame and the master cylinder, can you take a picture and post it or PM me if you like .
