Shock plate ID....

Are C body shock plates different from B & E plates? I have part #'s 3400-836 and 837 left and right which I think are C body and 1856-345 and 347 left and rights. I'm thinking the 3400's are for a C body...and is the one on the right. Bolt holes are the same.

The 1856's are B's AND C's up to 68. It's the latest I have FP books up to.

Hey Cranky a lot of those numbers are listed in the 73 part number book I downloaded from mymopar. Hopefully there will be enough info there to get you where you need to be. I found the numbers on pg 411 I think 17-11-7 rear shock part # info

70/1 book shows the 1856346/7 for 70/1 ABC and 71E. Shows 3400836/7 for 70E and 71C taxi/police

Wow....that's kinda odd because just about everything I've ever parted (B&E) looked like the 1856. The only C cars I've ever parted out were mid to late 70's. I've parted a lot of E cars and don't recall the plates ever being different....

Just the 70E's. The 1856 fits most everyhting else
