I'm trying to wrap up all of the loose ends before firing the motor and am trying to decide how to do the throttle and kickdown linkage. I'm new to working on Mopars and thought maybe some of you guys could give some suggestions or pics. I'm running a performer rpm intake with a 870 Holley and a 727 tranny. I'm thinking about buying a new throttle cable and possibly a kickdown cable as well. I didn't know if I could use the original kickdown linkage with the intake being higher than the original or what bracket I may need to hook up the throttle cable. What's the best route?

Thanks for the info. That's pretty nice having a cut to fit cable, I hate buying something and trying to route it in a way that looks good because it's a little to long. I buy allot from summit, they are only about an hour away and have an awesome store.

if going stock sort of look mancini and ughes engines use extended cable and brackets for hgher intakes

What! you wanna see my linkage?..... I don't think so Mister!
And besides this is a family site :icon_jokercolor:

none are mine, this may not help much either, but here's couple with mechanical kick down on 6bbls, {I could take a photo of mine too later, it's a mech. "modified thou" 1968 383/4bbl RR style on a 383/6bbl set-up, before I change it out, when my manual valve body goes in} I believe you can still get the mech. linkages for 440 & 383 4bbls @ Year One, but they ain't cheap, or I think Mancini Racing also sells one...
