Here are my .357 magnum blued Ruger Vaqueros. Same guns, different custom grips. The first set of grips are ebony with the silver Paladin chess knight recessed into the grip. The second set of grips are rosewood. Each set of custom grips are in the slim gunfighter style. The double holster Westerner rig is from Kirkpatrick Leather.

I like your setup best with the black grips and your cupholder quote. Sorry I didn't have any single action pix.

This is what I love about this site! Some other sites, guns would be totally taboo, and this isn't even in the "Political" board!

.45 ACP or 9mm Beretta for me, thanks.
I have respect for all firearms though.

I use to have an old Virginian Dragoon SST 6" barrel .44 mag paid something like $275 in 1980
also a Ruger Black Hawk .357 mag 6" Oilcan Blue,
they were relatively cheap compared to my semi autos or the double actions,
but both the above with good indexing, action/light trigger jobs, adj. sights &
Pachmayr rubber grips & magna ported etc...

good back up & hunting pistols mostly, accurate too

I'm much more of a .45 acp or .40 cal. semi auto type guy

my Hunting rifles are single bolt action mainly

But in todays oversensitive & intrusive internet world, too many eyes...
I'm getting far less comfortable sharing what I "actually" have anymore,
too many people that have an agenda {of any type} anymore,
especially when it comes to guns... even on here

lets just say, "I have plenty of protection & stock in lead"...

love seeing them thou,

I got a XD .40 cal. S&W Springfield double action, from my girlfriend Honey a few Valentines days back,
best ever gift I got, I do like double action pistols much better too...
That's just me, but I love them all...LOL

even my pellet gun

Almost embarrassed to post my vintage single six .22.

...but with CCI mini-mags it does pretty good.

Looks like 10s. Nothing stronger than the Ruger Blackhawks. They'll take a lot of abuse. Have owned several.

No single action here either but do own a S&W .357 model 66 with Pachmayr grips. Use to have an old Colt Trooper .357 but sold it several years ago. It was well worn and someone wanted it more than me. Man, that thing put out a hell of a flash at night lol.

Oh yes the S&W Model 29 .44 Mag. Dirty Harry made famous,
well more famous anyway

I've never been a single-action guy. My most treasured six-shooter is my Colt Official Police revolver. It was made in 7/1961, the same time I was. I also got it straight from police service and I love the scrapes to the grips. Makes me hope they were made by whacking some maggot in the head. :) My favorite revolver to shoot is my Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 with a 4" barrel, but I want to get a Model 19 with the 2.5" barrel this year.

My favorite pistol is this 9MM Sig P226 that I found in a little gun shop here in FL. I just bought it because it was a great price, and I was going to trade it in for a .40 S&W P226, but then I noticed the slide was marked "Lysons Corner, VA", and I used to live in that area and knew Sig's facilities were in Tysons Corner, VA. I then checked the date of manufacture and it was made in 1984, and no P226s were supposed to have been made before 1985. I checked the pistol out and found there are a handful of these mis-marked pistols around, but no one's really gotten down to how they got here. I suspect this is one of the guns developed for competing against the M1911A1 in 1984/1985 in the competition that the Beretta 92 eventually won. The gun was in near-mint shape when I got it, so if it was evaluated it was taken very good care of.

I've had it appraised numerous times and have been told it's worth less than a standard P226 to $72,000. Gun values are as arbitrary as our car values. :) But I love having it in my collection as to me it's a Holy Grail gun for Sig collectors.
