Score from Zepherhills swap meet/auction Now with pics

Pretty good haul.

1 set 273 wrinkle/finned valve covers- $25 (1/3 of the going ebay price)

1 new in the box small block electronic distributor with extra pickup plate- $25 (paid $48 for a reman last year and thought that was a good deal)

1 really nice window crank- $5

1 set cheap tripple gagues- $20, but they're $35 on ebay and the sweep style is very similar to the gagues in my Sat

1 Craftsman "made in USA" 4" bench vise- $20 (that's a steal)

1 Mopar throttle adaptor and stud- $15 (another steal $15 each plus shipping on ebay)

Will post pics of cars tomorrow.

good score on the valve covers. I was standing there when you bought them. You were telling me about a guy that bought a bunch of resonator tips for 5 bucks each.

My wife and I were there to get her a front windshield for her 70 Coronet. I picked up a trunk weatherstrip for the 66 Charger. As well as shifter boot that i'll use in the 65 Sport Fury.

"That guy" was Greg Rager, former editor of Mopar Muscle mag.

He's usually there, but went to SCCA/SDAC (?) instead.

I don't know what the deal was with those parts, but they were almost giving them away.

I should have bought that water pump and 1969 only timing cover, too....or might as well have bought everything they had!

If you go by the asking prices in the car corral, you stole that 383 Charger, even at 7K.

Sorry we were so hard on you (or more correctly- the car). I'd love to see your car in person.

I'm picky about anything I (or a friend) buy(s).

I've been called "that thorough guy" by dealers/sellers before.

The wife and I are driving the Satellite to Orlando today to look at that 65 Barracuda.
Looks great in the pics. Asking $6500. I can't afford that, but I have to see it and make an offer if it's as nice as I think it is.

Test upload of some pics-

Claims to be original. I think part of the pinstripe is missing, but still a dang nice car.

I LOVE that interior. Just a bit pricey for a 318 car, though.

Hmm, was afraid it would ammend the previous post.

More after edit code times out...

Good deal on being there at the right place/right time.

YY1 good luck on the Barracuda. Guess you need a 273 to put those new valve covers on. :)

Barracuda was not quite as nice at is photographed.

Solid underneath with a small ammount of previous bodywork.
No rust at all in the cowl or vent, but starting in the drip rails and under the top chrome on the quarters.
No PS, which may be a deal killer for my wife, unless I factor that into the price.
Can you add a PS gearbox toan early A without changing the column?
Still had single master cyl (and drum brakes), but M/C was new.
Drove nice with no pops or squeaks.
Not a 6.5K car, but the best 65 Cuda I've seen under 8K.
Seller was real nice and honest, but not particularly knowledgeable on 65 Barracudas.
May still make an offer after doing the math.
It's got minor body issues that need correcting NOW, or they will get much worse real quick.

More pics-

Spring special 69 was an H code clone with a LOT of bondo in the quarters.
WAY overpriced as 26K.
Black 66 was nice and straight with a 440, but they can keep the wheels, the puffy late model seats and the enormous "custom" console.
Clean GTO shows that it wasn't just Mopar that like baby poop green during that time.
69 was 318 car cloned to a "Cuda", but they did a real nice job, scoops and all.
RR with cop wheels was clean and straight real RM car. Had pistol grip 4 speed.
72 Rallye- super clean, "stripper" 4 speed car.

More.

300 vert I think is my pick of the show.
SUPER clean and straight. Sounded good, too.
No sale at 17K high bid.

I almost bought this cutlass before I found my Satellite.
Was for sale by original owner for 5K OBO. Sat on CL for 8+ months.
Super clean. Glad I got the Sat, though. High book on Olds in only 8K in #1 condition.
Used car lot bought it and wants 8500 IIRC. Don't know high bid.

I think the A100 speaks for it's self.
In the sold section but don't know how much.

YY1 you scored on them valve covers along with the rest of the stuff, best of luck on your cuda purchase, remember if you decide to part with them covers drop me a line.I have never been to Zepherhills swap i suppose i need to go i'm missing all the deals!

still more

Ultra clean RR was almost pick of the show, but 300 was IMO less commonly seen.

RR was probably worth the 23K price.
