Side marker lights

How do you remove the side marker bulbs on a 68 GTX?

There is a nut on the backside of the fenders. Loosen carefully as they strip easy. New ones, quality are available from BEA parts. I got 4 new for my Roadrunner.

Thanks, I was hoping it was easier, but didn't see any other way.

They aren't that difficult. Good set of channel lock pliers will get it done. Mine had a lot of corrosion and came off relatively easy

I was just hoping they were like thd tail lights, just pull them out.

There's a bit more to it. First unplug the pig tail, unscrew the large nut holding the assembly to the fender and remove the assembly from the fender. Now for the fun part, the outer bezel and lens will, or should, unscrew from the pigtail/socket side, these two parts often become one over 42 years and being pot metal.
