Looking to build a single turbo setup for my 70 Charger B-body, looking for some answers on a few things.
The 2 Most important questions are, Can I run stock 440 exhaust manifolds and just turn them around, and connect turbo tubing to them. I'm looking to make custom headers that support a turbo. Also what size turbo 78mm? 80mm? or 85mm. And what size tubing? I have been trying to research a lot but really haven't got a straight answer on a single setup. Hp is goal is 825-875 Tops no more. It's going to be street driven and need it too spool fast and the motor wont be spun over 6500 rpm. And I have a Quickfuel Q950 series carb. Need to know what I need to do about that. Send to The Carb Shop? or a place that deals in that area. Thought about calling Garrett, Turbonetics, etc to get somewhere in the ball park. Also if you know anybody that deals with these kind of setups, let me know how contact them and get some good information.

go ask pro-touring.com, gents here are more stock - mild type guys.

alot of smart blokes here as well as pro-touring.com

Call John at Lil John Motorsports at 270-217-6377. He can advise you as well as sell you what you need. You can use the stock manifolds reversed and into 2-1/2" tube for the pipes and just put the turbo flange at the merge. I'd run an 88mm with that setup. Call John, he has way more turbo experience than I do.

If you go blow through with the carb you will have to get it specially prepped for that application or just get one that is set up for your intended goal.

The turbo forums has a special section on how to convert your holley carb to a blow through.
