Six pack intake manifold question...

It's me again guys !,

Another quick question for you all, I'm switching over to a six pack on my 72 Roadrunner 440 and when I install the intake should I change the valley pan at the same time or can I leave the old one on ? also what it the best sealant to use for the intake and the intake bolts hitting the water jackets ? It's been a while since I've changed an intake so I want to make sure I do it right and don't screw it up. Any help and tips you have on this project is greatly appreciated !!

I would change the valley pan. I use permatex products for sealing. Depending on your uses, they make one with the heat block off.
Pick one that meets heat & petroleum requirements for your job.

Hey, you're in luck! No water jacket bolts for your 440 intake. Nevertheless, sealing the bolts can help control oil leakage. Don't over torque the bolts! The bolt holes are minimal for holding IMO.
I'd prefer to go new pan with gaskets. Search " 440 intake gaskets " you'll find plenty and various thickness.

If it's the one piece gasket you need to replace it. A good RTV around the intake ports, valley seal area. Should be good to go.
