It was very difficult to remove my old grommets on my 1970 small block valve covers. They were very hard and brittle. They weren’t rubber thats for sure.

Does anyone know where to get replacement grommets for this application?

They probably were rubber at one time, but rubber is 20% oil 30% carbon black 10% other chemicals (silica, sulfur, etc) and 40% synthetic or natural rubber. Overtime the heat of the engine cooks out all the oil out which effects the chemical bond with the other components and ultimately changes it composition and properties. Anyway looks like Mancini has what you need. https://www.manciniracing.com/pcvvagrbrgr.html

Thanks!!

Sometimes you can get a package of assorted size and style grommets at your local parts store too.
