Hi, I'm Jake. I was in high school when a guy my dad worked with more or less unloaded a 66 Belvedere II on us, and it's been a long and trying road ever since. Being in college doesn't help, but its finally to a point where it will make the local cruise nights which is AWESOME. Nice to have a Mopar b body forum, you guys speak my language. I'm also a member of the HAMB, but its no fun because my car is "O/T" while every other guy on there has fuel injection and disc brakes on his "traditional" hot rod. Anyway, I look forward to the technical and resto help and the humor on the forum as I continue to wrench on my cheap and sweet muscle car. Anyone in the Quad City area, I'll see you out at the Valley cruises!

Welcome to the site! Post up some picture's if your able?!

Welcome to the site. There are a lot of knowledgeable and helpful people here.

Welcome aboard. I am a member of the HAMB too and often laugh at the off topic traditional guys that police that board too. Let's see that Belvedere!!!!

I was wondering the same thing.

O/T means off topic, and on the HAMB the regulars like to critique your car as being off topic so as to exclude you
Kind of like the people who go to car shows and crritique your car and then go out to the lot and get into threir Nissan and go back home to their mom's basement.

welcome to FBBO, we have allot of great knowledgeable & friendly people here, opinionated but respectful "usually".... the price was right for sure, good to hear you have the 66 Belvedere II back on the road...

WELCOME!!!!!

Let's see some pics! Mine is a driving project as well, so I'm in the same boat as you.

trying to find some nice shots i took last summer, I'll have em up tonight. thanks for the nice welcome! In the meantime, check out thompsonlsr.com, Danny's website covering the build of the Challenger 2.5. SOHC 427 Fords originally, but Danny now has two Hemis, so there's a mopar tie in for you.

Heres a few more, but they are older. It now has a blue hood from a swap meet, and the front bumper is attached. Currently wrestling with the ammeter, I'm sure you guys have been there before. After that it'll be cruising all the time. Since I've got a history with it, I'm happy to drive it no matter what it looks like. Something really fun about having a car like this right now, without having to worry about paint or panel gaps or junk like that. Someday it'll get done right, but I don't think you can beat a beater muscle car for cheap thrills.

Welcome! I like the rolling projects myself, my '66 Charger is the same way. Original paint and rust, but got the interior shaped up this winter.
They will get done some day, in the mean time drive the hell out of it!
