I bought a set of polished aluminum fabricated valve covers:headbang:I've been wanting a set for a long time!Had to massage the firewall on the passenger side and the throttle linkage braket on the drivers side. The shock bolt was hitting on the passenger side,so I put an additional shock rubber under the shock tower the lower the hight. That avoided having to invert the shock tower.I'm waiting on some stainless hardware to bolt down the new covers and it'll be good to go.It's been brutally cold,so progress is slow but work is busy:icon_mrgreen:

Those covers are very nice. What brand?? You won't need those shitty leaking fel pro gaskets with the billet rail on the fabricated covers. The flat indy gaskets work much better. Just my experience anyway. Post some finished pics.

Those Felpro's are the steel sandwiched in cork.I've had good luck with them in the past even with plenty of valve lashing.
These are the oil separators from Moroso. The top unscrews to add oil.Like a built in funnel:laughing11:

Duster Dave calls 'em sidewall scrubbers:laughing11:

Ron,the Moroso covers like this are in the $800 range:angryfire:
These came from Pro comp and were under $200:yes:

Wow !! $800 is big money. $200 is so much nicer sounding. They do look great ! Ron

those are truely perty, she's looken sweet

Was able to spend a little time in the garage last night:eusa_clap:Still waiting on hardware to hold the covers down.Laid them on with no gaskets to see what they will be lookin' like,I'm real happy with them.I put an extra rubber insolator under the shock on the passenger side to lower the amount of bolt on top. After the cover is on,the shock bolt clears the cover. It will have to be lowered to remove the valve covers for lashing.NO need to touch the shock towers.:icon_idea:
I remembered to pick up a few bottles of propane so I could fire up the heater. Was workin in a T-shirt in about 5 minutes with the 250,000 BTU's turned up:bootyshake:
