Hello FBBO. Thanks for allowing me to join. My first car was a 69 Coronet 440. I got it from from my HS assistant principal in 79 for $300 and I fell in love with the car. I was 16. Had to sell it to help my perents with moving expenses from Tuscaloosa Alabama to south Texas in 1980 and I've been looking to replace it ever since. Fast foward to present day. I've had a 94 Camaro project for the past 9 years that I slowly built into a fairly quick street/strip kinda thing. 11.40 was my quickest time all motor (383 LT1). My 16 y/o son supprised me by expressing his interest in the older cars. So I gave him the Z28 on the condition that he never drive it, only trade it. (Too quick for a 16 y/o). He managed to find a guy in Houston with a 75 Duster and a 68 Coronet 440. The guy went for the trade. Trailered both cars home about a month ago. Back in the Mopar buisness! My son and I will be popping in from time to time to get ideas and such. Still have not finished the inventory on the Coronet. From what I can tell its about 90% there. Needs some metal fab and clean up. Already have a 440 from a motor home that I will blow apart and try and make a wise parts list and machine shop decisions for. (360 in the car now) It needs a bench seat, wiring harness, etc...
The fun is in the father/son time we will spend together. Looking foward to picking everyones brain! :VB toast:

Thanks
John & Jacob

I love to hear these father and son project stories. I wish I had a kid to work on my car with. Trying to get one of my nephews into it. Doesn't look promising.

Anyway - Welcome to Mopar MIT. Enjoy and good luck!

Welcome to the site! And I know of a very good machine shop south west of Houston. I know it's a long ways from you but if you come towards this way from time to time it might be worth it.

My nephew was taking an interest in building up a race car but now shows no interest and the car is just sitting in the trailer now.
