Sox and Martin Paint scheme 65 Belvedere

Posted long ago about my friends car but couldn't find it. Just thought I'd show a couple pics now that it is done. Not a clone of anything just paint scheme. Has a healthy 408 in it and is street driven. Sorry about quality but He is suffering from effects of Agent Orange and not very active right now so his Son snapped these real quick for me.

Looks pretty good. I bet it was really cool seeing all the old cars painted up at the track back in the day. One of the reasons I like heading to the track today.

I never got to attend a meet at a large enough track for the likes of these guys to show and race...I did however get to see their cars in person at a Columbia SC dealership on display prior to an event. This was 1972. If I were to guess they would be racing at the nearby Blaney Dragstrip in Elgin....my bud lives just across from the old entrance to this track now residential area.
