Hey Guys,

Have a 1970 Roadrunner 383 with Hooker Competition Headers, the plug wires that I have are touching the headers and burning up. Anyone else had this problem and what wires did you get to fix it. Should I go for straight or certain angle boots.

Thanks.

I used braided plug wire covers from DEI (Summit has them) and haven't burned a wire since.

^ x2. I have two plugs laying on the header pipes, wearing Taylor fireproof braided sheaths. Problem solved.

I use Firecore wires and they work great. A member on Moparts sells them (Sunroofgtx). Ron

Accel Super Stock wires, the boots are not thick, so they don't contact the headers. Use all angle boots. Use shorty plugs on the close fit ones. Use heat socks on #4 & #6.
