Speedometer Cable Routing at 4 spd Tranny

Can anyone provide direction... perhaps a photo of the correct routing for the speedometer cable coming from the pinion at the 4spd tranny back to the firewall. My RR currently has no cable at all. Luckily one of the few missing items on the car. I have a cable and was testing the fit when I realized that it comes out of the pinion of the A833 4 spd between the shifter arms and looks like it's awfully close depending on the travel of the gear levers.

IM having same problem, my cable looks kinked if I go above or below shifter rod

AS it come out of the tranny, it's just above the lower shifter rod. Then it goes thru a clip on the floor near the torsion bar. Plenty of room.
