Hello all I spun a bearing in my 1970 440 six pack bee. Looking at rebuild with 440 source stealth heads... And the 512 stroked kit... Want to drive to car shows but want max performance. I have 391 years and beefed up trans with manual valve body and Hurst quarter stick.. Any suggestions for cam....converter....build ideas for a six pack build? I want to keep the six pack because it is the car.... This 70 bee is mostly stock looking except power train

I had a great experience with 440 Source. Bought their stroker & some other parts. They are very helpful & will answer questions. For cam: I'd talk to 440 Source, Edelbrock & Comp Cams. These are the people that know the most about our engines and seem to eliminate "opinions" . Just facts from years of experience.
Good luck, Rocket

I used Indy Heads for my 499. The dealer ported them and port matched the intake. It runs great, looks great and runs fast. I think on the next build I would go with a crate motor fron Muscle Motors as it would have saved me money and my 440 engine is not original to my R/T.

My engine builder stroked a 440 and used 440 source I'm happy with it

Engine wise I suppose you could combine these two builds. The 4-bbl 496 with RPM heads and Dual plane RPM intake made 639 TQ and 640 HP. The 440 6-pack made, what was it, 560 TQ and 590 HP?
