got holes in some trim pieces. going to tig them up. is there a special filler rod use for this. i know i got to use a stainless rod . seem somewhere they done this and they buff it and you can't tell the repair. any help would help. thanks

Well my little experience with this I used some SS mig wire and an aluminum backing plate on really thin ss peices.

I never use any special rod for stainless with my tig. You can even us some stainless you have laying around for filler, just cut some strips out of a thin piece. Stainless does crystalize on the back if you dont back purge, but your not going to look at the back anyway. Lots of stuff I tig I dont even need filler for, I just use the base metal, but thats in specific welds not all. Now your confused lol.
