I removed motor mounts and installing a motor plate and a mid plate. The mid plate is .09". When I use the .09 spacer in front of the flex plate it reduces the starter engaged depth. Also the thickness of the mid plate pulls the starter another .09" forward. I do not want to cut the mid plate around the starter mount as it will make it too weak. My question is can I have the face of the starter milled .18" to move the starter depth back to engagement specs? Thanks Dave
