Hello
I have a quick question. When I let my 440 6 pak car sit for a few weeks at a time it is hard to start. i found that unless I went to crank it a lot, I prime the center carb and it fires up. What causes it to have the carb drain? Any fixes? When I start the car and use it every week or so or even just start it I have no problem at all..

My six pack car does the same thing, the fuel drains back to the tank, I always figured it was one of the float needles allowing air in the system. But I changed them all. So it must be the fuel evaporating over the span of a couple of weeks. An electric pump would take care of it I suppose.

Same here. 440x6 roughly a week not running is all it takes. Not terrible, just noticeable that it takes a few more seconds and a few more pumps on the pedal.

I don't have a 6 pak but think it is a big block characteristic. An electric pump on mine makes no difference.
