Hi all,

i am looking for some original steel wheels for my 1966 Coronet but i don´t know the right size. My car has the original drum breaks.

Is it 14"x5.5 ? Or 15"x6 ?

Does somebody know where i can buy these wheels? On summit.com i just found the 15" wheels.

If anyone wanted to sell his wheels please let me know. They had not to be in perfect condition but they should be fine to drive.

thanks

max

I think depending on the model they can be a 14X5 or a 14X5.5. A number of wheels will physically fit, but there are different styles (e.g., JK vs. J, etc.) depending on the type of wheel cover used.

I bought a bunch of mid-60s mopar steel wheels and only 2 of 8 match physically. All the rest are different. If you have one, take it with you when shopping for another, or buy a full set and inspect them closely.
I found differences in the bumps/holes on the center section, the back spacing, the ammount that the center protrudes from the outer rim, the shape of the holes/gaps between the center and the rim, and the radius of the outwards "bowl" shape of the center section!!!

These are all 3 "tang", "large dog dish" wheels.
I haven't looked at the stampings, yet.

I've got rims off of my old 66. 14" not sure if they all physically match each other.
they are all painted the same factory color Dark blue. I could look @ them.
Germany?? shipping would be crazy.i think

Hey Guys,

thanks for your request/help but this can be closed. I was on a Mopar Meeting this weekend and now i have original 14" Chrysler steel wheels :)

I am so happy to get one of these here in Germany.

But thanks to all of you.
