I loath the manual steering in my 67' Belvedere. I have plans to eventually go to a firm feel power box but was going to wait to pull the engine out to freshen it etc etc. Not sure if I want to wait that long.

Has anyone ever done a box swap or just a replacement in a big block car with TTI headers?

Wondering if it's do-able without taking half the car apart.

I just removed the manual steering box to get it rebuilt. I took an hour or so and didn't take anything apart. I don't have TTI headers but I do have Hedman headers and there was no issues. Flaming River sells an adapter rod that makes the conversion easier.

You're going to take the manual out and replace it with the power steering box, right? Your steering column shaft will be too long for it.....
