Is there a difference between a P/S Steering Column and Manual Steering Column? I found a Manual box for my satellite and wondered if I have to get a Different Column? Thanks

The main steering shaft in a power steering column is shorter in length as compared to a manual steering column. This difference is due to the smaller size of the manual steering box.

If your car has the power steering column, and you want to install a manual steering box, you'll need to use a power-to-manual steering adaptor to connect the power steering column to the manual steering box.

Where can one of them be purchased at? Thanks

The car I am taking the Box off of is a 67 satellite would the column be the same as a 69? Thanks

The title of the post and your first post was asking about the COLUMN now you are saying box.

Both the steering box and the column are different from manual to PS.

If you car has the power steering box but you need a PS column then I believe the only difference between the 67 and the 68-69 column is the collapsible chrush sleeve that fits over the steering column. The 68-69 PS column should work in your 67 IF you have a PS gear box.
If you are looking for just a standard column shift column they are a dime a dozen and cheap. The manual column is far more uncommon and more expensive ESPECIALLY it it happens to be a no shift varity so if it is available to you for cheap you may want to pick it up anyway.

I found a 67 parts car that I'm gonna take the Steering Box off to put on my 69. I was wondering about the column from my 69 working on it. Both cars have Floor shift columns just my 69 has P/S now. I will just pull the column out of the 67 when I get the steering box. Thanks

And much safer.. I saw one of the other adapters at a cruise night that had a nice crack in it. I'd hate to have that thing split when driving..

Well the 67 was gone but found a 71 Dart but my interchange book says that 6cyl and v8 are diff. Anyone know the difference?

In manual boxes, the 6 cylinder ones use bushings inside while the 8 cylinder ones use bearings.

 That has been my experience. When I have done conversions to manual steering, I've always looked for a manual box from a V8 car because it does have the bearings which makes it a little easier to turn and park in tight spaces.

Back when I owned my T5 car the first time around, the original manual box went bad....thankfully in my driveway. So I went to the local yard and picked up a clean one out of a Dart that was already missing it's motor. That box is still in my car, some 30 year later.
